PRACTICE AREAS:  Janice represents large and small lenders in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho in the documentation and negotiation of commercial construction and term loan transactions, including home builder developments, low-income housing and retail, warehouse and industrial commercial real estate. 



Janice also assists lenders in handling distressed loans. 


Janice joined McEwen Gisvold as an associate in 1990 and became a partner in 2001. After focusing her practice on litigation matters for the first 5 years of her career, Janice changed her focus to real estate transactions.  Since 1996, Janice has developed an expertise in working with various lenders in the documenting and handling of complex real estate finance transactions and in work-outs, foreclosures, and receiverships.  Janice served as the firm's Managing Partner from 2016 to 2020.

Represented lender in portions of the re-development of low-income housing at the Columbia Villa in North Portland.
