John is a fourth generation business and real estate attorney.  He represents companies and their owners in contracts and transactions.


EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
John earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law (2005). He studied history and earned a A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard University (2002).

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Since June of 2015, John has served on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Community Warehouse, Inc., a local non-profit organization that provides donated home furnishings to families in need.

Buying and selling companies, including manufacturing, distribution, restaurants, professional services, and retail companies, with values from a few million to almost half a billion dollars.

Loan and investor documents, for purchases and capitalization.

Company sales terms and conditions, property management contracts, distribution agreements, key employee agreements, and other business contracts.

Office and building leases for both landlords and tenants, and easements and covenants, conditions, and restrictions on real property.

Company formation and operating documents, including "buy-sell" and other owner agreements, often in connection with owner estate planning goals.
