Experience includes: representation of debtors, secured creditors, unsecured creditors, creditors' committees and investors in bankruptcies and workouts, judicial and non-judicial real property foreclosures, repossessions, claim and delivery and judicial foreclosure of personal property; commercial litigation including contracts, Uniform Commercial Code, fraudulent transfer and lender liability defense, attorney malpractice defense, and preparation and review of loan documentation and other contracts. Partner in McEwen Gisvold LLP since 1985 and an associate from 1981-1985; associate with Stoel, Rives, Boley, Fraser & Wyse from 1979-1981.
Ray was recently chosen to represent the "Official Unsecured Creditors" Committee in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case of Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation. Columbia, a manufacturer of high quality, general aviation aircraft, is based in Bend, Oregon. It had $90 million in sales last year, and has over $50 million in unsecured debt.
