  • On November 17, 2012, Partner Trung D. Tu was sworn in by Justice Sabrina McKenna, of the Hawaii Supreme Court, as the National Asian American Bar Association’s new NW Regional Governor and new member of its Board of Governors.
  • On November 6, 2012, Associate John Davis was elected State Representative for Oregon House District 26, which encompasses Wilsonville, Sherwood, and King City. John will continue his practice at McEwen Gisvold while serving in the Legislature.

  • In January 2011, partner Trung Tu began teaching Regulation & Ethics of Lawyers at the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College as an adjunct professor of law.

  • Partner Jonathan Radmacher is on the Board of Central City Concern. Central City Concern has worked for 30 years to provide pathways to self-sufficiency through active intervention in poverty and homelessness.

Since 1916, the City Club of Portland has researched and debated issues of public policy, seeking to "inform its members and the community in public matters, and to arouse in them a realization of the obligations of citizenship."   • Partner Ray Streinz was chosen to represent the "Official Unsecured Creditors" Committee in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case of Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation. Columbia, a manufacturer of high quality, general aviation aircraft, is based in Bend, Oregon. It had $90 million in sales last year, and has over $50 million in unsecured debt.
